Although similar in power and speed to the 3255/3265 log splitter, the 3455/3465 offers an interchangeable 2-way / 4-way knife. And no, it’s not just an added 2-way / 4-way knife. The frame is lengthened and reinforced, along with specific 4-way sliders, stops, and stub.

When time is money and the wood is straight, the interchangeable knife can increase productivity by 100%. It can be simply changed in 10 seconds by the removal of a quick-change pin. This allows flexibility when splitting large knotty logs with the 2-way knife or splitting straight grain wood with a 4-way wedge for extra productivity.
